We are incredibly proud to have been crowned the inaugural winners of the Menu Innovation Award at the 2026 National Fish & Chip Awards.
The National Fish & Chip Awards are the UK’s official awards for the fish and chip industry and are recognised as the industry’s highest accolade, both nationally and internationally.
We received the Menu Innovation Award for our commitment to offering a diverse range of sustainably sourced fish from around the world, alongside supporting local, independent fishing businesses. As cod and haddock quotas continue to reduce, we recognised the importance of giving customers more choice by introducing alternative species at a range of price points, helping to keep fish and chips accessible while supporting the long term future of our industry.
Winning this award is especially meaningful as it is the first national title we have achieved. It reflects our passion for innovation, sustainability and supporting every part of the fishing industry. We are incredibly proud to champion a wider variety of species and to play our part in securing the future of Britain’s favourite dish.
TOP 10 - NATIONAL FISH & CHIP AWARDS
For the first time in our history, and as the first fish and chip shop from Oxfordshire to achieve this milestone, we reached the Top 10 in the National Fish & Chip Awards – Takeaway of the Year category.
The Takeaway of the Year award recognises the very best fish and chip shops in the UK and is regarded as the industry’s most prestigious accolade.
Reaching the final ten was an incredible achievement and the result of months of hard work and dedication. The judging process is exceptionally thorough, including anonymous mystery visits, in depth interviews with leading industry experts, detailed business assessments, and unannounced audits of every aspect of the shop. Every stage is designed to ensure only the very best businesses make it through.
To be recognised among the UK’s top ten fish and chip shops is something we are immensely proud of. It reflects the dedication of our team, our commitment to quality, and our passion for continually raising the standard of what we do every single day.
We are incredibly proud to be holders of the Q Award – the official Fish & Chip Quality Accreditation awarded by the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF).
The Q Award is a nationally recognised mark of excellence, demonstrating that a fish and chip shop consistently delivers outstanding food, maintains exceptional standards of cleanliness, provides excellent customer service, and operates responsibly and sustainably.
To achieve the accreditation, an experienced industry assessor carries out a comprehensive inspection of the business. This includes assessing the quality of the food, hygiene and cleanliness, staff knowledge and training, customer service, food safety procedures, and sustainable working practices. Every aspect of the business is reviewed to ensure it meets the high standards expected of Q Award holders.
The purpose of the Q Award is to raise and maintain standards across the fish and chip industry, giving customers confidence that they are visiting a business committed to excellence.
We are extremely proud to have held this accreditation for the past few years, and it reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering the very best fish and chips and providing every customer with an exceptional experience.
